LocalWheels Albania is an online marketplace: private and small-business hosts list cars; travellers search, compare, and request trips in one place. We are not a traditional rental counter — the rental relationship is between you and the host. Our role is to provide the platform, booking tools, messaging, and (where enabled) card payments for platform fees through Stripe.
What we optimise for
Transparent EUR pricing (including seasonal periods and optional add-ons), verified-host signals, pickup flexibility across Tirana airport, the capital, the coast, and inland hubs, and checkout previews that spell out card charges vs. cash at pickup before you commit.
For renters
Browse real listings with photos and reviews tied to hosts, filter by dates, pickup area, child seats, cross-border options, and more. After a host accepts, you complete card checkout for the reservation prepay and service fee (and any refundable hold if the listing uses one). The listing security deposit and the balance of the net rental are handled as described on each trip — typically cash to the host at handover unless you agree otherwise in writing.
For hosts
List on your terms: daily rates, seasonal windows, mileage, deposits, working hours, and optional outside-hours delivery fees. Promoted visibility is available as a paid upgrade. We store a snapshot of key listing terms when a renter requests a booking so everyone shares the same reference point after acceptance.

Request a trip online, chat with your host, and after they accept pay on card: prepaid commission, booking service fee, and a refundable no-show hold (if enabled). Any security deposit is agreed with the host and paid in cash at pickup. Cash for the rental at pickup is the net rental minus commission prepay and an estimated card fee on the hold (see checkout preview and terms).
